Liberty Portable Mobility Systems was founded by Helen and Laurie Giuseppini.

Helen (pictured above) was diagnosed with MS more than 30 years ago and led a normal life until five years ago when she lost partial mobility which required her to use a wheelchair. This removed her independence from doing simple things like travelling and shopping. Her husband Laurie, who was a senior retail executive for more than 33 years, left his career to care for Helen and the family. Soon they were looking for ways for Helen to regain some independence and decided to try and find an electric scooter that could be easily transported in a car.

After months of searching they found there were plenty of lightweight models in the market place. However they either had a low centre of gravity making the smallest humps difficult to manoeuvre or were inconvenient to disassemble with up to 5 separate pieces. They tried larger scooters but found that they required a van to be modified for transportation at a cost of up to $100,000!

Finally they found Tzora Active Systems, an Israeli high-tech company that develops and markets advanced medical rehabilitation products, including the Liberty Easy Travel, the world’s first truly portable scooter.

Helen has been using the Easy Travel for more than 18 months and it has changed her life, enabling her to regain lost independence.

The Easy Travel has been everywhere with Laurie and Helen and it has never let them down. Because the Easy Travel is such a fantastic product Laurie and Helen now distribute and market the product for all mobility-impaired Australians to give them new found freedom.
